Welcome to Mike Robertson Photography, home to images as diverse as remote Mongolian lakes, vivid U.S. desertscapes, wild solo climbing, and trees with silly names.

Mike’s image-making had its roots in climbing, the sport in which he achieved considerable recognition in his native Great Britain; since then, he’s been spotted in many foreign climes, catching pictures of everything from Cuban tobacco farmers to the ancient Bristlecone forests of the American west.

He has exhibited at the illustrious Kendal Mountain Film Festival, and his work can be regularly observed in many climbing and outdoor travel magazines world-wide. And 2008 saw him climbing structures for Sony, along with a London exhibition of his unusual and innovative images. He’s also the author of ‘Deep Water’ – a Rockfax DWS climbing guide – this ground-breaking piece of semi-fiction somehow won its class in the Banff 2007 Mountain Book Festival.

Since then, he’s gone on to part-author the latest Pembroke Rockfax climbing guide, he’s been arrested twice for climbing tall buildings to highlight the plight of the Burmese people, and even worked on the Ant & Dec Christmas show. His latest projects include a novel (or two), a young pony called Harold, and a book fashioned entirely of funky tree images. If you can help with any of these impending issues, please email him immediately.
